Our Services
We are Manitoba’s most comprehensive 4K production house with more than 9000 square feet of audio and video post-production facilities. Our impressive post-production and audio services include 12 AVID / Premiere edit suites for offline, 4 DaVinci Resolve 4K+ colour timing and finishing suites, visual effects and animation, closed captioning, down-conversion and descriptive video. We also provide DCP, Blu-ray & DVD encoding, LTO backup, trafficking and Telecaster services. We provide services for major international film studios and television networks.
Dailies
Working hand-in-hand with our editorial department is our dailies service, one of the first steps in our end-to-end post-production workflow. Once your production camera footage is shot, we can securely archive/clone your footage (SAN, HDD, LTO), process the original camera material with or without a colour LUT for perfect offline proxy media with synchronized audio in the editorial format of your choosing. We also work closely with online digital dailies service providers to upload your dailies footage/reels for secured internet review anywhere in the world.
Editorial
All of our editorial suites (offline/online) are on a shared storage network with dedicated SAN storage solutions for the most demanding editorial projects. We cater to film and television workflows with Avid, Blackmagic and Adobe project and media sharing across multiple editorial suites. We scale for your needs, be it a feature film with an editor and two assistant editors or a television series with 10 offline editors and 3 assistant editors. Either way, we have you covered.

Colour & Finishing
Once your editorial has concluded, our post-production staff will seamlessly conform your editorial project into our online post-production workflow, which includes colour and finishing. During this conform process, your project is reconstituted with the original camera footage at the original resolution. Colour correction / grading is performed using one of our four DaVinci Resolve suites, where our colourist will allow your creativity to be fully imagined. The art of finishing is sometimes forgotten in post production. We here at Frank take it very seriously, as this is where your final vision is completely realized. Finishing includes the addition of your final audio mix, your final animation and VFX, credits, subtitles, name keys, textless elements and final packaging/versioning. Professional finishing is one of our many special talents.

Sound
FRANK has Manitoba’s only Dolby Certified 5.1 digital audio mixing theatre and print master facility, featuring 14-foot ceilings, a Heintzman grand piano, a collection of vintage microphones, as well as multiple pro-tools suites available for recording, editing, mixing and ADR. We also offer Foley, dialogue & SFX editing, ADR, original composition & scoring, ACTRA/Non ACTRA voice bank and stock music library services.

VFX & Animation
Our visual effects / animation pipeline is ready to take on your biggest and most complex projects. From procedural modeling and FX to DMP and compositing, we have you covered. Multiple suites equipped with Maya, 3ds Max and Cinema 4D allow for quick and efficient modeling, animation, simulation and rendering. Blackmagic Fusion and the Adobe Creative Cloud allow for seamless compositing of HD, 4K, even 8K plates. Amazon Web Services provides us with scalable compute and storage in the cloud, allowing us to render demanding projects on tight deadlines.

Delivery
Delivery involves final exports with the correct technical requirements like video deliverables, audio deliverables, closed captioning, textless versions/elements and many more. We output these deliverables with quality control being our number one requirement. We can help you correctly deliver everything from tape (HDCAM, HDCAM-SR, XDCAM), to video files (MXF, Quicktime, MP4s, Youtube, Vimeo) to DCP. Over the years we have worked with almost every major broadcaster and international film studio to deliver a product which not only meets their technical requirements, but exceeds them.
